Soluble silica is a natural product that occurs in soil that will strengthen and boost your plants in many different ways.
Silica will help to build stronger root systems and stems, whilst simultaneously reducing water loss through the leaves. Silicon is extremely beneficial, however it is a plant nutrient that is missing from feeds, so it will need to be added as a separate element. When supplementing with liquid silicon the uptake of nutrients and CO2 is increased, more chlorophyll is produced, this leads to darker leaves that absorb more light than normal.
How it works
Growth Technology Liquid Silicon improves plant health throughout your entire plant’s life. The soluble silica in this product strengthens cell-walls, fortifying them against fungi and pests. The stems and roots become noticeably denser, and this facilitates rapid uptake of nutrients and absorption of CO2. The silicon will noticeably reduce water loss and in turn this helps guard against the issue of wilting. This product is alkaline so can also be used to increase the pH of your nutrient solution if required.
How to use Growth Technology Liquid Silicon
Growth Technology Liquid Silicon is suitable for all growing mediums and systems and can be used during all stages of growth. The Growth Technology website recommends that you use 1ml/L of nutrient solution/ feed, however make sure you mix the silicon in 5L of water before adding it to your reservoir or feed water, this ensures an even distribution.
It is available in 250ml, 500ml & 1L bottles and sits alongside Growth Technology Formulex and Liquid Oxygen to complete the exceptional hydroponic nutrient & additives range from Growth Technology.
